Hi,

here's the details;

'81 vanagon, factory sliding sunroof, 7 passenger.
1 owner (before us).
4 speed.
two tone paint. cream top/pumpkin? bottom. brown interior.
about 40k on full rebuild of engine/tranny with new clutch.
about 130k on the van. no accidents.
new windshield.
factory tinted windows.
the PO made this removable box/bed deal that creates a bed for two while
still keeping the 7 seater setup.
has curtains and a bra.
needs the sliding door handle replacing, otherwise everything works.
bodywork is pretty straight (has a couple of dings), and any dings had been
touched up with matching paint to prevent rust.

mileage has been between 22 and 16  since we've had it with varied driving.
The engine sounds as good as any air-cooled I've ever heard. (no clacking,
ticking, etc..)

has all original documentation. Owners manual, EPA sticker, dealer
price/options window sticker, mint condition brochure.

reason for sale: the steering's a little heavy for my girlfriend and she's
just too attached to her old '78 loaf (which will now be getting a new
