Finally fixed it! Fuel pressure was OK (my guage was bad). Checked a number of things, finally swapped mass air meter from a friend's van. Started and ran fine. He had my spare unit, so he was ordering another for his van. Does anybody know of a rebuilder for these? I've been able to get rebuilts for about $125, but all this one needs is the resistor board. Thanks for the hints on this, everybody. Steve Sandlin www.steveslockshop.com '84 Wolfsburg Westy '79 Transporter '00 New Beetle
