Hello members!

My name is Scott Cowan and I am a new member to the list. Not to waste too much bandwidth but I thought I would briefly introduce myself and ask a question or two of the group.

I live just north of Seattle WA and I work in the IT department for a large speciality coffee company. I have 2 kids and multiple dogs to keep me busy. At this time I do not have a Vanagon but I am very interested in obtaining one by at least the end of this summer.

Questions are Does anyone in the NW have any suggestions on a reputable dealer and mechanic for a Vanagon? AND has anyone had any problems with a conversion to a Subaru or other VW engine in a Vanagon? I am thinking that I would be interested in finding a Van with engine problems and then having a conversion done. I hope to use the vehicle as a daily drive up and down I-5 and use the van as a extended weekend camper.

Any and all responses are welcome and thanks for letting me take up some of your time.

Scott Cowan
