Subject: need help fixing aftermarket cruise
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Greetings, I have an 87 westy with an all electronic aftermarket cruise unit from specific cruise systems. The control unit indicates by led that the power is on when I switch it on. The engaged led lights when I push the set button which oddly enough seems to be on an oem turn signal though there is no evidence that the van had an oem cruise unit before (would like to purchase oem cruise unit if I can't fix this one). There in no response at all from the servo unit. The engage light then goes out after a few seconds. The engage light will also go out if I press the brake pedal before it has timed out from presumably no response from the servo unit. It used to operate well for the last 30k miles I've had the van. Ive spliced together all the wires from front to back and checked for continuity. I've dissassembled both the control unit and the servo unit and all appears well. The manufacturer has no replacement parts for the unit. I have no manual or schematics. The cable to the throttle is not broken and moves freely. I have a condition that demands a cruise unit or other means of operating the throttle without using my right leg for extended periods. Any help would be appreciated.
