I had this happen several times - thought I had low oil both times. It drove me nuts until I realized what was causing it.

I cut the wire at a convenient point and slid some spaghetti tubing down over the wire all the way down to the oil switch. Then adjusted the routing to give it slack, and moved it away from the pinch point it was at. I don't recall any great trick to the routing. Just route it around the hoses/wires in the engine compartment differently to move it from the trouble spot. Reconnect with insulated inline terminal connectors secured with duct tape.
