Kevin:

Last year I purchased a Sunsail 2 Awning from EuroCampers. I like very much the waterproof and durable fabric from which the awning is constructed. It is connected to the Westy by a gutter "pole", which sits in the gutter channel, and then the whole thing is clamped onto the gutter rail. Stability in high wind or rain is very good. The clamps that came with the awning were less than desirable, so Steve Lashley of EuroCampers sent me another set which worked much better. The downside is that unless you are very careful, you will probably end up scratching the paint on the gutter rail. The clamps need to be wrapped in something soft and thin like electrical tape (?) so its not metal on metal.

The poles and stakes are both cheaply made, and I have already replaced the stakes and will probably eventually replace the poles with some good, extendable poles from a camping supply store. But these will get you started.

The whole package was about $159 US, which fit my under $200 budget, but with the mods I will make, it will end up costing me about $200.

At the risk of repeating myself, however, the awning itself is excellent and the gutter pole creates a very stable awning even in bad weather. And Eurocampers was a pleasure to do business with.
