I'm finishing the replacement of my '84 1.9 with a 2.1 this weekend, I'll let you know what I think about the power, but my old engine with 207,000 miles on it is kinda tired, so I think I'll notice quite an improvement. You retain the exhaust, water pump and thermostat housing from the 1.9, and you cannot retain the stock oil cooler in its normal position because of this. It is a good swap, Bob Donalds of Boston Engines has done it without any problems minus the cooler, but my engine came with an external oil cooler/filter set up, which the PO said it needed to keep the oil light from flickering. -- Stuart MacMillan Manager, Case Program 800-909-8244 ext. 8208 Fax: 206-269-6360 Getting your share of the Net yet? http://cobaltgroup.com http://UsedEquipNet.com |
