Howdy all, I installed a HP/Colorado T3000 tape drive in our list-server (Gerry) late last year. It uses Travan "TR-3" tapes. Works just fine, the only drag being that I can only fit 1.6 Gigs on a single tape since the native NT Backup utility does not support compression. I saw a bunch of "TR-3 Extra" tapes for sale on eBay. They have a capacity of 2.2 Gigs without compression. They are claimed to work in any tape drive that uses the regular "TR-3" tapes, but I can't seem to find much info on the 'net about them. Has anybody tried them? Please respond to vanagon-request@gerry.vanagon.com since my personal email is still down. Thanks, TomC vanagon-request@gerry.vanagon.com |
