Lot of folks talking about purchasing a "junk yard" alternator----Not!!
What do you buy at a junk yard?--Junk!!
Just as the name implies. Been there,seen it, done it, and have been
very mad, & frustrated.
You are so much better off purchasing a remanufactered, ( not rebuilt)
electrical part, and get the job done one time.
There is nothing that really aggravates me more than do the same job
twice, just because I thought I was going to save a couple of bucks, and
wind up with a part, no better than what I took off to start with!

Please note - During the past 17 years of operation, several gigabytes of Vanagon mail messages have been archived. Searching the entire collection will take up to five minutes to complete. Please be patient!
