I see 1.9 Turbo Diesel blocks are available from the Parts Place in
Michigan.  If I could lay my hands on the intake, exhaust, turbo from a
1.6TD motor AND if I could lay my hands on the diesel bell housing,
transmission input shaft, and motor mounts.


I could put a 1.9TD in my 84 Vanagon.  Diesel power enough to move my big
box.  With the "normal" 4 speed tranny what RPM would I be spinning @ 65
mph?  Will the diesel do this reliably?  Does anyone have the parts laying
around they want to sell to do this conversion?
