I did some of that a bunch of years ago, maybe 20? I got the info from the yellow pages. It was a good deal, didn't make money but had a free trip and time to enjoy the ride, since I needed only one way trip and money was scarcer than time. Problem is getting to exactly where you want. Bigger cities are the best. One time I drove an early 70' camero that had been reposessed from Atlanta to Buffalo. It was in bad shape, but they paid a little more because it was stick shift and nobody wanted to take it. It overheated most of the way and the hood was smashed in so I couldn't get it open. The shipper said "don't worry, just get it there and let the garage worry about what condition it was in. The air didn't work either and it was July. The worst part, as I was signing the papers, was seeing two college kids loading into a brand new Mercedes SL roadster going to CA. Their eyeballs were hanging to the ground, and they got paid to drive it!
