Richard:

I have found that if you "warm up" the fridge using 110 for a few hours, it will usually light right up on gas. If not, there is likely a problem with the gas system.

I found dramatic improvements by pulling out my fridge last year, burping it, and cleaning out all the combustion chambers, orifices, and other parts. (There were roasted husks of dead bugs in my combustion chamber)
