Or get a 5 gallon (or preferably a 6 gallon) jerry can and lash it to the luggage bucket above the cab. Oh, you didn't say if you have a westy or not. If you don't have a westy, you'll need to rig up something else, or buy Ken's carrier, I guess...

We *always* carry a 6 gallon jerry on the roof on any long trips, or any time we go into remote areas (like up isolated logging roads, etc). Good insurance, esp if you hole your tank or a root or something snags and detaches a fuel line!
