I agree that it might be best to get both manuals. If you are green to auto
mechanics, you might want to try to find a copy of "How to keep your
Volkswagen alive : or, Poor Richard's Rabbit book :being a manual of
step-by-step procedures for the complete idiot : Rabbit, U.S. Golf &
Scirocco, the complexities thereof" by John Muir publications. It is for a
Rabbit but it does a good job of describing components (like a C.V. joint)
so that you are more informed when it comes time to decyphering what Bentley
is trying to say. THis book is out of print but Amazon claims you can order
it and they will look for one for you.
