A proper tire is even more important for the heavier Vanagon campers, and my camper's curb weight is about 685 lbs. heavier than the Westfalia. What I look for is a strong beefy tire that also gives me a good decent ride. Sort of a balancing act. Since I previously had very good experience with the discontinued Michelin XC4S four season tires I wanted to stick with that brand if possible. The Agilis 61 tire is the replacement to the XC4S according to Michelin. Please understand I'm not saying that the Agilis 61 is the only choice, or even the best choice for everyone, just the best choice for me. I am frugal in many areas but not when it comes to tires.
