Sit on down, kids, and let Uncle Coyote tell you a story. When I was shopping around for my first van, not too long ago, Hoch Motors in Santa Rosa had one with really low mileage. A '90 Westy. I decided to drive up to take a look. Santa Rosa is over an hour's drive from San Francisco, so along the way I listened to KQED, as I always do when driving. After about 15 minutes, Car Talk came on. I thought to myself, somewhat whimsically, "I wonder if they'll talk about Vanagons? If they say something bad, I won't buy this car." Well, the third caller was a woman who drove a Westy around town shuttling the kids! My knuckles were white on the wheel, and I leaned forward in my Golf, as I waited for the brothers' response. "Hey, those are pretty snazzy! They're much better than minivans... you actually look hip in one of those!" I bought the van.
