Wolfsburg's sit 30 mm (~ 1.2") lower than pre-88 non-syncro's, 88 and later Vanagon's have the same springs as the 87 Wolfsburg, the supplement that came with the Wolfsburg's is transcribed here < http://www.251.org/myvgon.html >, about half way down the page. From what I understand the rest of the suspension is the same as well as the brakes. I have installed MSDS's stainless steel brake lines, but not the whole system. I like the lines, they have not caused any problems, the pedal feel is very firm. The only gripe I have is the fittings have a require a standard wrench, 9/16" I believe.
