It is more like 45/55 front/rear. The rear is heavier. We weighed 3 different vans (all campers) last month. They were all in the vicinity of 1100 pounds per wheel in the rear vs. 980 or so for the front. These weights are for full Westy 2WD models. Do I remember correctly that the weight bias of Vanagons is ~55/45 front/rear, i.e. they're heavier at the front than the rear? (many-myself included-have noticed Vanagons have crap traction in snow compared w/loafs/splits) Austin |
