Wilson, 1) I cannot comment since I do the work myself. 2) You will have to register your Vanagon in AZ if you are considered a full time resident by the MVD, and I think that you will be. The AZ smog test is easily passed by a Vanagon. 3) I lived in AZ for many years without AC in any of my cars. In the summer, I tried to drive only at night, or first thing in the morning. I've had AC since 1984 now. For short trips, the AC doesn't even begin to cool you down. I usually don't use my AC going to and from work. As I said before, it's OK in the morning, and my office is so cold that I enjoy the heat on the way home. So, I assume that you will be at ASU. I have a son and daughter there these days. What are you doing your graduate work in? Thanks, Mike |
