Tim, I accept your apology.  Thank you for admitting you were wrong and your
behavior was inappropriate.  BTW, you are less than truthful or accurate
when you claim "There was nothing personal in my smart-ass remark towards
you. "  Read your own words, they speak for themselves:

I can accept and laugh at a general comment or tease about syncro owners in
general having syncro-sized egos, but you took it a setp further and made it
personal to me, and only me, and the result was a nasty insult and not a
joke, especially after i spent several hours yesterday working on the syncro
website...not just for my ego, but for other's benefit too.  Why should i be
ridiculed for that?

Let's give everyone a break and let it rest.  Making public jokes or insults
directed at individuals on the list (especially people you do not know) is
just not a good idea for a lot of reasons.  You can't expect a person not to
defend themselves...then everyone else has to listen to the ensuing soap
opera.  I'm glad the curtain is finally dropping on this one.
