Frank,

Mine are Agilis 61's! They are the 185 R14C size which is the same size as the original factory installed Continental tire the Vanagon shipped with. Of course I am talking about the standard stock Vanagon 14 inch steel wheel.

Last April the US Michelin website had no information on them, but I got a complete rundown of the new Agilis product line from the Canadian website. From the info gleaned there it was clear to me that for "stock" Volkswagens the 51 series was for the Eurovan and the 61's for the Vanagon. The 81 series (and higher) were listed for use on larger and heavier duty trucks. After I obtained the web info I called Michelin USA ( 800-847-8475, # 7) to confirm that the 61 was definitely the recommended replacement for the discontinued Michelin XC4S, my former tires. For years I had been extremely pleased with the XC4S tires and the 61's are just as good and have a bit more tread plus around 20% greater sidewall, (if my memory serves me correctly).

The tires were special ordered through my local Sears (2-3 days). I first checked at my local Costco but they couldn't get them. Different franchise areas I suppose. BTW, the 61's are rated: 6 ply load range C, 1710 lbs. @ 54psi. I run mine at 42 psi front, and 48 psi back.
