Last year I put Michelin MXT's on my 88GL. They are 205R78/14's(or maybe R70..can't remember) According to Discount Tires in Albuquerque...where I bought the tires....the 14" MXT's were the stock tire that the vanagons had when driven from the showroom floor. It is a good lite truck tire in a 14" size and you won't go wrong with it. The 14" truck tire is more difficult to find. If you go to a 15" or 16" your choices rise considerable, but you do have to go to the larger rims. The MXT has reinforced sidewalls and has a pressure rating like 45 or 55 psi. Definitely designed for the Vanagon.
