Steve, get a Bentley if you intend to keep the Vanagon. There are 'fast' and 'slow' glows, and they each go with their matching 'fast' or 'slow' relay. Stick with Bosch or Beru and pay between $8 and $15. You're glow lamp may be burned out if all the wiring is in order. With the injectors out, watch through the injector holes and cycle the glows. If they are good and power is coming to the bus, you will see them glow quite hot. You might take the injectors to a shop and have them checked. If they are below 120 bar when they break and the pattern is bad, buy new needle/nozzle ass'ys. and have them shimmed back to spec.. It might run $140 to have the set rebuilt. Install with new heat shields.
