Subject: Re: Analog dash clock
Comments: To: Garrett Adams <gadams@jps.net>

Garrett,

It was a Radio Shack item. However, your problem may be entirely different than mine. I only mentioned my experience to point out that at least one of us was able to fix our clock and to describe how the clock works.

If you have the time and interest, take the clock out and look it over. You should be able to verify the problem by attaching 12 volts to the unit. If it runs, then you have a wiring problem. If it doesn't, you should be able to verify the mechanical part by locating the coil and its rotor. Manipulating the rotor should move the second hand. If the problem seems electronic, you will need some test equipment to proceed.
