Subject: poor running 84 1.9 vanagon

My 84 1.9WB 7 pass van is running poorly. It sort of jerks or bucks at most speeds. Still very driveable and not a huge power loss, but annoying. It was running like crap with horrible mileage, I replaced the o2 sensor and fuel pressure regulator and it ran perfectly for a few weeks. Now, this jerky deal. I notice no difference whether cold or hot. It is most apparent when just holding a steady slow speed such as in town driving. I would appreciate any list advice on this. Thanks! BTW this is a 4 speed van, not auto if that matters. It does not seem to be a driveline issue ( clutch axle trans etc.).
