Subject: Engine Serial Numbers System
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Listees,

I've obtained a working 1.9 engine from a List member (for $100, Thank You, Seamus), to standby as a transplant in the event my present, 189,000-mile Westy needs a donor. The serial number is DH044537, followed by an "X" superimposed over a "+." I understand that the symbol following the digits is an indication of a rebuilt engine. Is that correct?
