Ron,
I wish you hadn't said that because I think this dumbed down approach leads to a
less precise legal description than the more formal legal language. The law
practice developed its language to provide a common understanding within the
legal community just like any other profession: medicine, physics, chemistry.
When the common language is substituted, there are fewer precise definitions and
one can no longer be certain what is actually being said.
