Hi Gang,


     Once again I turn to the collective wisdom of the list. My 84 Westy runs
roughly after start up --- sounds like it's missing and has low power until I've
limped it along for about five minutes. Then it will run fine ---- but if I let
it idle for a minute or so it will 'surge' up and down until it dies. Both of
these symptoms started at the same time a couple of days ago. Distributor cap,
wires and plugs are all very recent. Any and all input greatly appreciated.

P.S.: We've got a winter storm watch happening here ---- 6 inches of snow coming
to the outlying areas ---- and I was wearing shorts weeks ago!!
