If you're serious about air conditioning your Vanagon, you might talk to this guy: dhosack@computron.net. I think his first name is David, he's in Bay City, TX, and is a podiatrist who sees patients out of his 1991 westy (which was for sale, may still be). He has a very elaborate AC system set up in it, solar powered, something like 5,000 BTU's. Told me it was like an ice box in there. Just a (kind of goofy) thought.
