Subject: Clean clogged Radiator? - 83.5 1.9l
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Volks,

I seem to remember a discussion on the list recently about cleaning out clogged rads. I searched the archives several different ways but I couldn't find anything helpful and my local rad shop won't touch it. The rad is aluminum and plastic, I think, so hot-tanking is not doable. Mine is full of calcium and lime deposits and probably some stop-leak goop. Replacing it is rather expensive and it is in good shape physically with no leaks. It's just clogged.

Anyone have any experience with cleaning these out?

TIA -- A. Miguel Calvin mcalvin@ican.net Guelph, Ontario, Canada 83.5 1.9l Westy
