Subject: Re: Choosing Tires for 15" Wheels
Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII

Hello Chris,

on my Vanagon (Multivan turbocharged diesel from november 1987) I have since around 10 years during the summer time Mangels 7x15 Chrome wheels Triangulo with tyres from BF Goodrich.

I'm very pleased with this tyres, and they hold really long. Since april 1990, I only had to change the tyres one time, and next year, the rear tyres need to be replaced again. I drive during the summertime up to 10,000 miles per year.

On the front axle, I have 215/65R15 and on the rear axle 235/60R15. I choose the BF Goodrich Comp T/A or Radial T/A. It seems, only one of both types is available for the size you need. Both tyre-size have nearly they same circumference and fit good on the vanagon. Since I lowered the vanagon 50 mm on the front-axle and 40 mm on the rear-axle, it looks even better.
