Dear List, I too am trying to find out the origins of my engine. It has a VW Canada rebuild "sticker" on it and an identity number. Any ideas how I can find out when the rebuilt was sold?? This would give me an approx idea of the time frame on my 2L. Thanks much Keith 81 Vanagon
