>Has anyone been able to get the recall for there AC units taken care of? I >was able to get the brackets for the rear from a dealer that had them >sitting >around. But now putting up newer ducting and do not want to put the >center >piece up w/out the brackets refferd to in the recall notice we all have >seen >here latly. Most dealers have no clue about any of this. Is there an >offical recall number associated with this recall?? > There are a number of recalls for the '87 Wolfsburg. Some depend on your VIN. There is also a recall on the jump seats, the shifter, and the fuel filter. As far as I know all VW dealers should have full details and have access to the parts. They also have to do the work for FREE. The dealer can look up the VIN in their system and tell what needs doing and if it has already been done. I've emailed you a list of 1987 recalls via pmail.
