Subject: Friendly Local Tire Store - WAS:Agilis tire source?

I have them lifetime mount and balanced at a Wards >or Walmart and still save typically $10-$30 per tire over local prices.

My Friendly Local Tire Store sold me a set of four Michelin MXT's last May for only $12 more than Tire Rack's delivered price. Note that the local guy's price included all taxes, mounting, and hand torqueing of lug nuts. The Tire Rack price did not include mounting, which probably made the prices about even.

So check out your local tire store first when shopping. They just may be able to compete, you never know unless you ask. And if you do ever have a problem, they are more likely to be accomodating to customers who bought their tires locally.

That being said, if your local guy is out to gouge you, stick it to 'em and dial up the Tire Rack.

Roll on..........
