Subject: Pyromid camp cooking system (Friday)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I want to share some comments on the Pyromid cooking system I have recently become a huge fan of on open topic Friday. This is a unique charcoal fired camp cooking system that folds down flat, takes little space, and does amazing things with fresh foods, particularly meat, chicken and fish.

Being somewhat of an amateur BBQ chef, (see http://bbq.netrelief.com/pits/metalpit/BigBaby/default.asp and scroll to the bottom for a look at my "real" cooker!) I am always looking for the best ways to cook with charcoal or fire when camping. This unit cooks with nine charcoal briquettes or most anything that burns, is the only packable charcoal grill I have found that really works, and it is extremely well made of heavy gauge stainless steel. It also uses disposable foil liners for easy clean up, which you can buy or make yourself.

I am in no way affiliated with Pyromid, I just wanted to make the list aware of what I have found to be a superior camp cooking system!

Check it out at http://www.pyromid.net. I have the 12" system with the smoker oven and use it at home as well as camping. These folks have been around for 30 years, I'm only sorry I didn't discover this system a long time ago!
