I have a new clutch with >1500mi on it, and it slips. It is a busdepot sachs kit (new T/O bearing, etc) and I had the flywheel re-machined. I have been VERY gentle to it since I got it in. It started after a 600 mi trip to AZ, and only slips maybe one out of 10 times. Bentley says it may be due to oil on the disc - how would this happen? I have a little seepage in the engine, but not much. I did have a fairly violent coolant leak that was fixed a few weeks ago, but the coolant should just evaporate off the surface... Since I had a 3rd party install it, I am kinda hesitant to call in warranty on either side.... I shoulda done the repairs meself... tia ===== Mark 87 Westfalia Gl 84 Scirocco 8v http://student.fortlewis.edu/~mwmages/ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
