Just so nobody gets a surprise -- I've had experience with a total of three Bosch pumps and two Piersburg pumps. The Piersburgs have a noticeably higher-pitched sound which is more audible inside the cabin than the Bosch. Construction quality seems equivalent, i.e. excellent. The Piersburgs are smaller diameter and have a rubber sleeve (IIRC) to bring them up to the Bosch diameter. david David Beierl - Providence, RI http://pws.prserv.net/synergy/Vanagon/ '84 Westy "Dutiful Passage" '85 GL "Poor Relation" |
