I'll second the noise comment, my Piersburg has a high pitched whine that cycles with the pressure demands of the engine, and is very annoying when stopped. Unknowing passengers think something is going to blow up! Of course you can't hear it when driving over the road and wind noise inherent in the Vanagon, so it is worth the savings over the Bosch unit!
