While leafing through my extensive pile of junk mail, I ran across the latest JCWhitney catalog and found 2 interesting little gadgets that attach to oil filters. One is a finned piece of aluminum that attaches with a hose clamp, that claims to act as an oil cooler and the second is a magnetic ring that attaches to the filter to help capture metal particles as they pass through. Any thought as to the potential benefit, or do you think the money is better off put into the "future unplanned can happen at anytime need a rebuild" fund. -- Jason M.
