Item Description:
        1987 Volkswagen Synchro 4x4 passenger van with 4 cylinder water cooled engine and 4 speed manual transmission & air conditioning. Dark Brown in color with tan cloth interior. Had 73,000 miles on it when I got it. Has 94,000 miles now. The body is in good condition with no dents, minor rust, & basically only needs a wax. Engine runs rich, due to holes in exhaust allowing gases to escape before they pass a sensor that provides computer with readings to adust mixture properly. Has problem with transmission. Gears all work, however, unless you keep hand on shifter, it will jump out of third gear to neutral by itself. Plus it whines a little at highway speeds. I drove it on 200 mile trips like this. I love this van. It has never left me stranded, especially in deep snow in the over 7 years I have owned it. It has a Penna. title in my used car dealership's name. since I got it as a trade. I was stubborn about keeping it, however, I need money for other things quick. Serious bidders only! Great on gas. Has Blauplunkt stereo-cassette. This is a rare vehicle. I have not driven it for a year. Being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS. Must pick up in Frackville, Pa. Must be paid for in full by Cash, Money order, or Cashier's Check in 2 days after auction ends.
