I had problemes with ignition noise in the stereo system on my previous 88 Syncro. I put on additional ground strap to the alternator from the left head, and also connected the strap to the mechanical fuel punp blockoff (engine case grounds ok), the right side head and the right side of te engine compartment, in addition to the house on the alternator. The noise didnt go away, but the engine was sure grounded well. The wire was 2,5 mm2.
