Uh, but supposing they did break off and you needed three of them (the covers not the springs), would they be available out there? I expect they're a pretty hot commodity.

ps It's warming up to 0 tomorrow and I'm trying out all those suggestions about the gas heater. Will keep you posted (barring any unforeseen explosions).
