Well, cooler heads, albeit with wine glass in hand, are prevailing.

While this method is still "removable", it wouldn't be easily removable. And, I think, part of the value of this would be the ability to use it and then stow it. For example, Peter Buettner (and I) could never get in our garages with this in place so, using it for a shorter trip would be a real hassle. After my 8 month trip to South America, I'll probably want to use it for vacations but not have it on the van all the time.

Plan C?
