Really? Well, it all boils down to maintenance, I guess. I have seen several T4 Transporters with rustholes, those are usually 91-92-ish work vehicles that drive 100k kms each year, on salted roads, and maybe get washed a couple times each year. It's saddening to think of, but they are there, and look awful. Those persons driving these vans rarely care about not bumping into walls, load ramps, other vehicels etc. either, just adding to the sad looks of the once proud VW.
