You didn't mention the rear bench seat. I took out the bottom wood panel with the phillips screws. I was able to take up some slack and keep the bulges away by keeping the carpet tight under the rear seats. I didn't use any staples at all. Make sure it is tight under the rear seat and on the left kick panel. There are 3 screws there that will help hold the carpet down. I actually replaced the kick panel too. $65, was kind of high, but it is better looking.

I also recently completed a rear carpet replacement after an antifreeze leak from the rear heater core. Purchased a remnant for $20 which gave me enough for the carpet and some left over to create a mat which may be removed and cleaned/vacuumed.

Now I used staples to secure the edges, but I've noticed that, after a few days, the center area seems to have generated some slack and is bulging up. Did I miss a step? Do you have a tip or different way of securing the carpet in the rear passenger area? I thought I was using the same sort of system as was used by the factory.
