Hi All, I found my problem. My Westy was down on power after I rebuilt (replaced) all the plastic and rubber parts that melted in the engine fire. Turns out I had a second bad fuel injector. They both were from the donor van I found at Specialized German in Rancho Cordova, CA. That sounded like a slam, not meant that way at all. Anyway I had a good one from the engine fire fuel rail and it works OK. So the Turtle Girl is on the road again, all insured and smogged and we are going to DMV for plates on Monday. Thanks to all the posts, I have learned so much! My Go Westy catalog just arrived in the mail and I'm going to go for some of the pretty stuff to dress up my girl. Cary in San Jose, CA.
