David, this ratio is the 4,86:1, same as all 2,1s in the US have. If the front end does not have a locker, I'd say it is not worth the trouble, unless there is something I didnt catch. According to the list @ http://www.koeln.netsurf.de/~Martin.Schulte/vw_bus/t3_tech/t3_getr1.htm the AAK is identical to the AAN found in all cars on the NA market, except it does not have the rear locker.
