>(I'm working from memory here, so forgive me if I am a bit off) The owners >manual for my '89 Syncro Westy indicates a fuel tank capacity of 18.5 gals, >and a "reserve capacity" of 2.5 gals. > >I have *never* been able to put more than about 14.5 gals into it (and yes, >it does read full afterwards). On Friday, I let the needle get deep into >the "red" zone before I had a chance to fill up, and guess what? 15 gallons >was all it took! > > the most I have ever put into it has been a little over 55L. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------- I can get 63 liters (13.7 imp gallons) into my 87 syncro westy. Thats if I drive until I'm well into the red zone. The farthest I have driven on one tank is 430 kilometers (267 miles). The gas gauge also drops twice as fast for the top half of the gauge. Does anybody get better than 14.5 l/100 km (16 mpg) city for a syncro westy? Gary Calgary, Canada |
