Subject: Vanagon Plat Cat Designs
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed
I have a 90 Carat that I have converted to camper. I currently use a small
Olympian catalytic heater. I have it mounted to the outside of the cabinet
right behind the drivers seat facing the sliding door. I still have
plenty of room to pass between the seats and with the passenger seat rotated
it's right in front of me. Great for those exra cold mornings. It's quick
and easy to take in and out. It's not perfect though. The things I would
like to change are to have it vented and put out more btu's. I woud love to
have a thermostat and maybe even a low power low flow blower to move the air
around a little. Oh yea another thought, keep the price reasonable. I think
the Plat Cat folks proved you don't need to spend a large amount of money in
order for us to heat our vans comfortably.
I had put an order in with Platinum Cat before they shut down and I was
saddend to see it happen.
I for one would put in an order right now if it would make this dream heater
a reality before the end of October. Keep us posted. Merv.
