Margie -- any muffler shop should be able to easily test for this. They drill a little hole in the downpipe (upstream from the cat) and measure back pressure. The hole is welded shut when they are done. I personally like Midas (others may have different opinions) and have used my "lifetime" guarantee many times thru the years at locations in CA, AZ & IN with no hassles. Had my cat fail in Yuma and they tested it without charge and replaced it at what I felt was a very reasonable price. [I have no financial interest in these guys]. Geo Hahn 84 Westy |
